Barbie alum Simu Liu proposed to his girlfriend Allison Hsu with a massive diamond ring during a romantic getaway to Paris, France on Mother’s Day.

At 36, the Last Breath action star is eight years older than the Interscope Records digital marketing director, but they’ve been going strong ever since they went Instagram official in November 2022.

Simu famously starred in the 2021 MCU flick Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, so he joked via Instastory: ‘Nine rings left to go!’

Liu also wrote on Instagram: ‘From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch, and everything in between, I choose you forever and always.’

Indeed – over the past year – the betrothed couple have enjoyed loved-up vacations to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, Peru, Toronto, and the Hamptons.

In a second joint Instagram post, Allison posted three ring emojis and three white heart emojis captioned: ‘Us forever.’

Liu and Hsu have one fur baby in their lives – Chopa – a mutt he adopted on the Santo Domingo set of his film Arthur the King in 2021.

Last August, the Got to Get Out host – who previously dated Grown-ish actress Jade Bender – declared that the UCLA grad was ‘my favourite person in the world.’

‘Our lives are just like this Benson Boone song,’ Simu – who boasts 6.7M social media followers – explained.
