A man suspected of shooting dead a young Israeli diplomat couple posted a manifesto online calling for ‘armed demonstration as a response to the ‘genocide’ in Gaza.

Elias Rodriguez, 30, yelled ‘free, free Palestine’ after he was arrested near the Jewish museum on Wednesday night. 

Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum when the suspect approached a group of four people and opened fire, Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith said

Journalist Ken Klippenstein, formerly of the Intercept, shared a 980-word manifesto believed to belong to Rodriguez which was published online before the massacre.

The document reads: ‘Public opinion has shifted against the genocidal apartheid state, and the American government has simply shrugged, they’ll do without public opinion then, criminalize it where they can, suffocate it with bland reassurances that they’re doing all they can to restrain Israel where it cannot criminalize protest outright.’

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar identified the victims as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim.

Lischinsky was a research assistant, and Milgrim organized visits and missions to Israel.

They were targeted as they were leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum when the suspect approached a group of four people and opened fire, Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith.
