The teenagers were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital, with at least two in serious condition, a South Australia police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

Police from the Water Operations Unit are assisting in the search for the missing girl, along with the Surf Lifesaving helicopter and PolAir.

They are scouring the area near Holdfast Marina, as dozens of onlookers line the beach, News.com.au reports.

Three other children have died at the same spot since 2007, including two young boys who got into trouble near the jetty on January 1, 2016, The Advertiser reports.

Their deaths prompted the installation of warning signs, with many urging after the death of a boy in 2007 of notices about the area’s strong currents and rips.
