Two men are fighting for life after a drive-by shooting in western Sydney. 

Police were called to Church Street beneath the M4 overpass  in Granville shortly after 5pm on Sunday.

Two men were found at the scene with gunshot wounds and were rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

Eight ambulances attended the scene, including two specialist medical teams.

An abandoned car was found alight in a carpark 3.5km away in Todd St, Merrylands a short time later.
