A teenager has died following a horror 4WD rollover on a Queensland island.

The 19-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle when it rolled on Birra Road on Mornington Island.

He was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Another 19-year-old man was rushed to Mornington Island Hospital with minor injuries.
