A fashion savvy Aussie mum has sent shoppers running after revealing her bargain Kmart buy, originally meant for kids.

Kmart’s version are being hailed as the ultimate winter ‘dupe’ for a pair of cult-status designer shoes and they’ll only set you back $15.

The Melbourne-based mum-of-two, Amelia O’Brien, couldn’t believe her eyes when she stumbled across the Senior Footbed Clogs in the kids’ section of her local Kmart store.

She immediately made a beeline for the striking ‘dupe’ and later shared the find in a video to her followers.

‘These are the perfect colour… like this is the exact colour that I wanted, and they cost me $15!’ she said in the TikTok video that now has 15,000 views.

‘Cute and comfy,’ she added.

The winter-friendly slip-ons bear a striking resemblance to the Birkenstock Boston Shearling Antique White Suede Clogs, which are a designer favourite that retails for a jaw-dropping $354.

‘I have wanted those Birkenstock slides for so long,’ Amelia said. ‘They look cute, great for Pilates, but also I’m not paying like $260 for them – that’s ridiculous!’

She also referenced a similar version by UGG that’s currently trending, adding ‘they’re like $120… but I have just come across these!’

The bargain shoes, officially called the Senior Footbed Clogs in Stone, are made from a soft faux suede upper with a cosy, fleece-look lining, ideal for cold Aussie mornings.

They feature an adjustable buckle strap and a sturdy moulded footbed, making them stylish yet supportive enough for everyday wear.

But there is one major catch – they’re technically from the kids’ range, so they’re best suited for adults with smaller feet.

‘My feet are small enough to be kids, so that’s a little embarrassing… but also, fab for me,’ Amelia joked.

Shoppers are now rushing to snap them up before they disappear off shelves, with some TikTok users saying they’ve also found other great ‘dupes’ of the style elsewhere, and in adult sizing.

‘For a bigger foot, Cotton On/Rubi also have a good dupe for them too,’ one commented.

‘Target have them in kids sizes and they are genuine leather,’ said another. ‘Only $30!! I was moments away from buying the Birks’ or UGGs and then found them.’

‘Oh stop it! I tried to find these yesterday and mine was sold out,’ another wrote.

While these are a great alternative, some commented that sometimes it’s more about quality over bargain buy, especially with what will actually last until next season.

‘You say you won’t spend $260, but I promise you the real Birkies last yearrrrrrs. I have a pair that are 10 years old!’ one fan raved.

The viral moment couldn’t come at a better time, as Aussies rug up amid a brutal cold snap sweeping across the country.

Whether you’re running errands, doing the school drop-off, or heading to Pilates, these clogs are being called a winter essential, without the hefty designer price tag.

The clogs are in a long line of garments rivalling the designers, with one pair of their newly released $30 Wide Leg Pocket Jeans in Ecru denim being highly sought after too.

The budget-friendly jeans are flying off the shelves after shoppers noticed their striking resemblance to Victoria Beckham’s cult-favourite (and extremely pricey) $800 Alina Wide Leg Jeans.

Right down to the tailored silhouette, oversized patch front pockets, flared bell-bottoms, and flattering high-waisted cut, this ‘dupe’ is most definitely note-worthy.

The Kmart jeans, described as the ‘perfect fit’, were originally available in shades Black, Light Wash Blue, Mid Wash Blue, but have now newly launched in a neutral shade called ‘Ecru Denim’, mimicking Posh’s popular style almost exactly.

‘The must have jeans’, she captioned the video, showing how she effortlessly paired the bargain pair with a crisp blue shirt tied up to the neck, and cream boots for a chic, professional look.

The jeans, like Posh’s, are crafted from 100 per cent durable cotton perfect for a structured and more tailored look.

The resemblance is hard to deny, with Kmart’s version offering a near-identical look for less than four per cent of the price.

With their structured wide-leg cut, high-rise waist, and oversized patch pockets, they tick every box for comfort, style, and versatility as well as being flattering and forgiving for most body types.
