They might be one of Australia’s most iconic land animals, but these kangaroos’ moves seem to have more in common with synchronised swimming.
Startled by a flock of galahs, the three marsupials from the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs were caught on camera performing an incredible hop in unison.
The cute moment happened on December 1 as stars Rex, Milly and Tilly were munching on some oaten chaff.

The video was posted to the sanctuary’s Facebook page, with many social media users joking the trio could be part of the country’s chances at athletic gold.
‘Australia’s newest Olympic sport! Synchronised startle!,’ one person wrote.
While others added that it was ‘great choreography,’ ‘nifty footwork’ and ‘flipping adorable’.
One person joked the moment had been a tactic by the birds flying overhead, as a means of getting to the kangaroos food.

The Kangaroo Sanctuary is a refuge for animals that were raised by wildlife carers and cannot be release back into the wild.
They also rescue rehabilitate and release orphaned joeys into the wild, with others able to enjoy the sprawling 188 acre park.
