Police have swarmed a quiet street on the Gold Coast after the body of a man was discovered in a park.
A spokesman for Queensland Police told Daily Mail Australia the body was discovered about 9.30am on Tuesday.
An investigation has been launched into the death of the man, who has not been identified.
Police dashed to West King Lane in Southport on Tuesday morning after a man’s body was found in Henry William Wakefield Park
‘Police are treating the death as suspicious, which is protocol until we can prove otherwise,’ the spokesman said.
The man is understood to have suffered head trauma, The Gold Coast Bulletin reported.
The park, on West King Lane in Southport has been shut down.
