So small screen queen Dame Joan Collins must naturally have an equally glamorous property to dwell in, as illustrated by her new home in Los Angeles – a $2.1million (£1.6million) apartment complete with three bedrooms and three bathrooms purchased shortly after selling an equally plush flat nearby for $4.4million (£3.3million).
The 84-year-old star, who is best known for playing Alexis Carrington Colby on Dynasty in the 80s, has purchased the home with her beloved film producer husband Percy Gibson, 52, with the duo undoubtedly set to live in luxury in the home which boasts a sprawling swimming pool and grand entrance hall.

Joan, who married Percy in 2002, proved she is willing to splash the cash on her new property as she paid the whopping sum for the property which was certainly superstar-worthy with its many assets.
The sprawling apartment is set over an eye-watering 3,000 square foot while boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, a living room with a huge fireplace, a formal dining room and a kitchen from luxury brand Poggenpohl.
Her master suite features a Jacuzzi alongside two walk-in wardrobes. A breakfast area sits on the terrace while they also own two parking spaces, secured elevator and valet parking alongside the property.
She recently sold her other long-time, LA residence nearby for a whopping $4.4million (£3.3million) meaning her new downsized home was undoubtedly a bargain.

In 2011, amid the devastating credit crunch, Joan was forced to sell her three-bedroom, three-bathroom Manhattan apartment because she could “no longer afford to keep it” due to the effects of the financial crisis.
The star who at the time had homes in Los Angeles, London and the south of France, said: ‘We always knew that there would probably come a time when either our LA home or this one would have to go and we have made the sad decision that it will be this place. Many people have said to us: “How on earth can you afford to keep four homes?” And the fact is, in this day and age, we can’t.’

Earlier this year, Dame Joan was in the middle of a dispute with neighbors over construction in her neighbourhood.
She is upset about the extensive construction work underway, including a 108ft ‘super basement’ being built beneath the £15million townhouse next door.
Dame Joan has now taken to social media to reveal the extent of the disruption it has caused, describing her home as a ‘danger zone’ and sharing pictures that show how the upmarket street has been rendered impassable by lorries and equipment.
The actress’ has been tweeting about the dispute, showing the building site outside her house. The tweet included the hashtag ‘#whenwillitstop’.
