Man claims Taylor Swift ‘told’ him to kill man he stabbed

An Oregon man arrested for stabbing a pedestrian with a pair of scissors told police that singer Taylor Swift told him to, on Sunday.

Brent Shannon Thicksten, 43, told Portland police that he attacked the pedestrian in downtown because the 27-year-old singer ‘told me to kill him,’ according to court documents. 

The man also shared with authorities that he was married to the Look What You Made Me Do songrtress, according to KATU.

But when police asked the whereabouts of Swift, Thicksten was said to have said ‘we are one.’

He refused to answer any further questions, claiming ‘top secret clearance.’ 

Thicksten was said to have acted menacingly toward people in the area around 11am on Sunday. The pedestrian, having a two-inch wound, shared with police that he was afraid of the man and had tried to flee on Northwest 3rd Avenue and Burnside Street.

But Thicksten chased after him and stabbed him in the back. The man did not have to go to the hospital, according to police.

This isn’t Thicksten’s first run in with police, however. 

In 2014, the troublemaker stole two forklifts and went on a assault on the area – ripping up the streets, driving into railroad tracks and running around with a pipe, according to reporting at the time.

Thicksten was charged with second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and additional charges, according to jail records. 

The man also was found to have violated parole on a third-degree robbery charge, when he pleaded guilty earlier this year.

He’ll appear in court on December 19.  

Swift has most famously dated the likes of Calvin Harris, Harry Styles and John Mayer. She often then writes songs with references to the exes, normally with disdainful lyrics. 

The singer is believed to be dating Britsh actor Joe Alwyn. 

Look What You Made Me Do spent 16 weeks on the charts and reached number one before being bumped by newcomer Cardi B’s, Bodak Yellow.
