Lavish Sydney waterfront mansion sells for $67million

A stunning harbourside palace in one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs has sold for a staggering $67 million – but it’s still only the third most expensive sale in the area.

The six-bedroom Vaucluse mansion, named Phoenix Acres, is owned by Singaporean tycoon Chio Kiat Ow and was snapped up for the fortune just eight weeks after going on the market.

It was originally listed at $71 million, above the $70 million James Packer received for selling his property, La Mer, in the same suburb and matching the current record paid for a Point Piper estate, named Elaine, in 2015.
