Three-year-old boy found face-down in sea in Queensland

  • The child was conscious and breathing and was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital

A three-year-old boy has had a lucky escape after being pulled unconscious from the ocean in Queensland.

Emergency services were called to reports of a drowning around 1pm near Captain Cook Drive in Agnes Water, north of Bundaberg.

Queensland Ambulance Services told Daily Mail Australia the boy was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived.

The boy was treated and assessed at the scene, before he was transferred to Seventeen Seventy and taken by helicopter.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the toddler was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

The child had reportedly been found face down in the water, with a critical care qualified paramedic attended to him, The Gladstone Observer reports.
