Texas woman arrested after fight over parking space

Ruthann Ezell, 37, was arrested and charged wth aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Sunday

A Texas woman has been arrested after allegedly attacking another woman with a baseball bat and then trying to run her over in a battle over a parking spot.

Ruthann Ezell, 37, was arrested on Sunday because of the allegations stemming from the incident on the same day.

The incident began after the other woman, who has not been named, was waiting to pull into a parking spot at the Houston Premium Outlets in Cypress, Texas, ABC13 reports.

In the process, the other woman apparently blocked Ezell from leaving her own parking spot.

It is not clear whether words were exchanged over this impasse.

But Ezell apparently proceeded to ram her vehicle into that of the other woman and then exited her vehicle armed with a baseball bat.

Apparently, Ezell then charged the other woman’s vehicle and smashed in its windshield.

Then, Ezell came at the woman with the bat and swung at her, police say. At some point, the other woman exited her own vehicle.

Ezell then proceeded to return to her vehicle, put it in reverse and pin the other woman between two vehicles, police say.

The baseball bat wielder was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, KHOU reports.

Her bond was set at $30,000.

The other woman suffered minor leg injuries.
