Time Magazine’s A Wrinkle in Time Cover Makeup Look

  • The cast of A Wrinkle in Time covers the latest issue of Time Magazine

The cast of A Wrinkle in Time is a diverse one, but on the latest cover of Time Magazine, Storm Reid, 14, Reese Witherspoon, 41, Oprah Winfrey, 63, and Mindy Kaling, 38, all wear the same pink lipstick and all totally pull it off.

In the image, the actresses appear in black turtlenecks with their hair sleek and parted down the center and their lips painted in a shade of dark fuchsia.

Fans are referring to the universally flattering make-up look as the ‘sisterhood of the traveling lipstick’ on social media.

Unfortunately, the exact shade of lipstick used on the stars remains a mystery.

Fans are filling the comment sections of the four make-up artists who worked on the shoot with questions about the hue.

Even celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway, who was on set to create Storm Reid’s look is seeking an answer.

‘S/o to the talented makeup artist on set for teaching us the perfect pink [lipstick] that seems to match most skin tones?’ she captioned a photo from the Time spread on her Instagram account. She then tagged the shoot’s make-up artists with a question mark.

‘I bet they tell us it’s from mixing 10 colors,’ Lacy later commented.

COULD ONE OF THESE LIPSTICKS BE THE ONE FEATURED ON THE TIME COVER?

Nars Audacious Lipstick in Janet ($34, narscosmetics.com)

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in The Queen ($34, charlottetilbury.com)

Dior Diorific Rouge Khol in 671 Vibrant Tourmaline ($38,sephora.com)

The biggest clue we have so far can be found on make-up artist Mylah Morales’ Instagram feed. The pro, who tended to Storm’s look on set, tagged the beauty brands Nars, Dior and Charlotte Tilbury in her photo of the cover.

All three sell dark matte fuchsia lipsticks that could be the shade in question, or as Lacy mentioned, the hue could actually be a mixture of all of them.

What we do know, thanks to the Time Magazine cover, is that the bold lipstick shade, regardless of brand, can be worn by all ages and skin tones, and that it’s probably going to be one of the biggest beauty trends of 2018.
