A family day out! Mia, Lena, Savannah, and Isla, enjoy a third day at Gatcombe horse trials

The young royals proved they were the perfect girl gang today as they attended Gatcombe Horse Trials for a third day.

Peter and Autumn Phillips’ daughters Savannah Phillips, 8, and sister Isla, 7, each took a hand of younger cousin Mia, 1, as the toddler walked through the event in Gloucestershire.

They were accompanied by Mia’s parents Mike and Zara Tindall, who appeared relaxed.

At one stage Mike was seen playfully tossing his daughter into the air, and covering her cheeks in kisses.

The family outing took place on the third day of the Gatcombe Horse Trials.

Oldest cousin Savannah took the lead as she held Mia’s hand wandering through the event.

Yesterday, the young royals were accompanied by grandmother Princess Anne to the event.

Princess Anne is every inch the doting grandmother as she is seen helping daughter Zara Tindall with her little ones as the family enjoys a day out at the horse trials.

In between greeting competitors at the Gatcombe Festival of Eventing in Gloucestershire Princess Anne took the time to show her grandchildren the delights of the horse show.

Zara, 38, took Mia, five, and little one-year-old Lena along while Savannah Phillips, eight, daughter of Anne’s son Peter Phillips tagged along with her cousins.

Lena, who has been kept largely out of the spotlight, was seen toddling around for the first time yesterday as mother Zara had her hands full trying to keep the child on her feet.

The excitement of the event appeared to wear Lena, one, out, with her loving mother Zara and even her big cousin Savannah Phillips seen scooping her up from the ground – the youngster was dressed in blush pink dungarees and a pair of Converse.

Princess Anne’s granddaughter Savannah was seen scrunching up her face as she lifted her cousin Lena at the event today.

Not to be outdone, big sister Mia also managed to rest her legs and be carried by her former rugby player father Mike Tindall, 40.

Mia was dressed in a star patterned blue dress today with sparkly high-top trainers and wore a denim jacket around her waist.

Also out to enjoy a day in the warm weather was Peter Phillips’ wife Autumn, 41, who last year marked her ten-year wedding anniversary with the 15th-in-line to the throne.

Zara kept her look casual and opted for an event top and jeans which she paired with sunglasses.

The family all appeared to be in high spirits throughout the event and made sure to take part in all the activities.

Savannah and Isla were seen having a go on an inflatable slide while their five-year-old cousin Mia eagerly watched.

Although Lena was still too small for this, the bigger girls made sure to include her in their other games and lend their hand to keep the toddler steady as she explored.

When it was time for watching the equestrian events the young royals were seen cheering the competitors on while Mike Tindall stood behind them.

TV presenter Natalie Pinkham, who is a Formula One pit lane reporter for Sky Sports F1, was also seen joining the royal families for the afternoon.

Princess Anne, 68, also enjoyed some time with her four granddaughters and was spotted taking the young girls onto the grass.

The Princess Royal was smartly dressed for the day in neutral trousers, a fitted shirt and green jacket.
