A rooftop pool, wellness centre and a ‘golf room’: Inside NSW premier’s palatial $6.25m Sydney apartment

Nick Greiner has snapped up a magnificent pad in one of Sydney’s most exclusive developments.

The 77-year-old former NSW state premier splashed out a whopping $6.25million for the luxury spread in the elegant eight-storey block known as Akoya.

Situated in the North Shore suburb of Greenwich, 7kms from the CBD, the complex boasts resort style living including a rooftop infinity pool which has stunning city views.

There’s also a wellness centre, a library, a bar, and a ‘golf room’ where residents can practice with a simulator.

Meanwhile, a concierge is on site to tend to the requirements of residents and their guests.

Greiner, who was Liberal Premier of NSW between 1988 and 1992, bought his apartment off the plan, reported the Daily Telegraph on Wednesday.

The complex, which was completed earlier this year, has already sold out most of its 39 apartments.

According to the Akoya website only four residences are currently available, including a one-bathroom, one-bedroom flat for $1.75million.

It includes a private courtyard.

Marketed as an upmarket retirement option to ‘over 55s’ each flat features a fireplace, a wine fridge and terrace.

The complex also hosts several private offices which, according to the report, are available to buyers on a separate title starting at $450,000.

Greiner’s purchase comes after he sold off a Point Piper apartment for $14.5million.

One third of the proceeds from the sale of the three-bedroom flat were split with his ex wife Carolyn Fletcher.

The Australian Financial Review reported last November that the former couple did the deal on the exclusive property off-market.

Occupying an entire floor in the ritzy Pacific Point block, Greiner bought the exclusive spread for $5.5million ten years ago.

That was the same year the pair sold off their one time family home in Centennial Park.

The stunning three-level five-bedroom house went under the hammer for $6.25million after being listed for $6million.

The former couple, who were married for over 40 years, bought the property in 2002 for $4million.
