AA is offering sweeteners to borrowers who take out loans between £7,500 and £25,000
The AA is tempting borrowers into taking out personal loans by offering freebies such as spa treatments, romantic hotel getaways and free MOTs.
The lender is offering the sweeteners to borrowers who take out loans of between £7,500 and £25,000 via the comparison website MoneySuperMarket before October 6.
The AA has one of the cheapest personal loan rates on the market, with typical interest rates of 3 per cent over a period of one to five years.
M&S Bank and TSB have cheaper deals, at 2.8 per cent and 2.9 per cent respectively.
But the promotion comes amid concerns over the mounting level of consumer debt.
Borrowers took out more than £4 billion of new loans and credit cards in July alone, up 16 per cent on the same time last year, according to the Finance and Leasing Association.
