A$AP Bari arrested at Heathrow over alleged sexual assault

Rapper A$AP Bari has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman at a London hotel after footage of the alleged attack leaked online.

The artist, whose real name is Jabari Shelton, 26, was stopped at Heathrow Airport following a trip to South Africa, MailOnline has learned. 

In a video of the alleged incident – which Shelton previously said was ‘fake’ – he is apparently heard saying: ‘What that mouth do b****’.

He also appears says: ‘You f****** my assistant, now you’re going to suck my d***.’

Shelton, of, Manhattan, New York City, is charged with two counts of sexual assault at a Shoreditch Hotel on July 10 last year.

He has been bailed to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Thursday June 14. 

The video briefly went viral last year before it was deleted from various sites.

The rapper added that he and the alleged victim had 'resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults'

In November Shelton told Billboard that ‘comments about myself or anyone being detained or arrested are false’

Shelton later denied British police were investigating the alleged incident.

The rapper added that he and the alleged victim had ‘resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults’.

He went on: ‘We were friends before this and will remain friends afterwards.  

‘Being raised by strong women who taught me to respect everyone, I’m disappointed in the situation as well as myself and will reflect on the situation appropriately.’
