After White rigged a remote-control machine that wiped out the captors, the two partners in crime stared at each other in a tense standoff the resulted in Pinkman refusing White’s request for him to kill him.

They eventually parted ways with one last nod of respect to one another.

Breaking Bad, the series, ran from 2008 to 2013 and garnered widespread acclaim from both fans and critics around the world.

It followed White, a terminally ill high school chemistry teacher as he created a meth empire with Pinkman, his former inept student.

Series creator, writer and executive producer Vince Gilligan returned to write and direct this two-hour film.

He also co-created the prequel series Better Call Saul, which has run for four seasons from 2015 to the present day. It has been renewed for a fifth season and is slated to premiere in 2020.

Cranston all but confirmed the movie while appearing on The Dan Patrick Show earlier this year.

Revealing that he’d ‘absolutely’ appear in spin-off he explained: ‘It’s a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open [in the series finale].

‘This idea, from what I’m told, gets into those — at least a couple of the character show were not completed, as far as their journey.’

Breaking Bad’s hardcore fans have been eagerly anticipating more content from the Albuquerque-based drama.

And lucky for them Jesse Pinkman is also ready.

Aaron Paul was featured heavily in the first full trailer released for the upcoming film.

The two-minute clip shows Jesse on the run from law enforcement and climaxes at the end when he runs into a mystery man.

The two men appear to be having a showdown as the camera focuses on the shadowy figure’s hand next to a holstered knife.

It dramatically focuses in on Jesse before a voice – which many viewers are already speculating is Walter White (Bryan Cranston) – could be heard querying: ‘You ready?’

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie premieres on Netflix October 11.
