While he continues to debate his next steps for his NFL future, free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers traveled to Louisville to take in The Run for the Roses.

Rodgers, 41, was captured by NBC cameras watching on in the stands at Churchill Downs just before the Kentucky Derby.

The former New York Jets signal caller was seen in a suit, white collared shirts, and mirrored sunglasses as he peered out onto the rain-soaked track from the comfort of the covered stands.

NBC’s Ahmed Fareed joked about his current status: ‘Still looking for a team, but maybe he’s got his Derby horse right now.’

Rodgers is still debating his future, but it appears that if he does play it will be for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The future Hall of Famer will be looking to start games this season and Pittsburgh is the only team in the NFL that doesn’t have their starting quarterback solidified.

Rodgers finally resurfaced a few weeks ago, lifting the lid on his personal life and his future in the NFL.

‘I’m in a different phase of my life, I’m 41 years old, I’m in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I’ve made… and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff,’ Rodgers said. ‘To make a commitment to a team is a big thing.’

But Daily Mail reported Friday that it is understood the Steelers anticipate adding Rodgers to their roster in the coming weeks.

The veteran quarterback was believed to be reluctant to announce a decision on his future while the eyes of the football world were on Green Bay, where he began his NFL career two decades ago.

Had the draft been held anywhere else, Mail Sport understands, Rodgers’ future may well have already been resolved.
