Abbey Clancy gets into the festive spirit by sharing hilarious clip of her four kids discovering their ‘naughty’ Elf on the Shelf

Abbey Clancy and her family got into the festive spirit on December 1 by welcoming their Elf on the Shelf back into their home.

The model, 37, shared a funny clip to Instagram which showed four elves dotted around the Crouch family bathroom, with toilet paper strung across the walls and floor.

She filmed her daughters Sophia, 11, Liberty, seven, and sons Johnny, four, and Jack, three, giggling at the cheeky elves.

Abbey was heard saying: ‘What has happened? They are so naughty!’

Elf on the Shelf is based on a 2005 children’s picture book of the same name, written by American authors Carol V. Aebersold and Bell Chanda.

The story tells the tale of how scout elves are dispatched to homes from the North Pole at the start of Advent. Their job is to tell Santa who’s been naughty or nice.

Part of the elves’ trickery is they ‘mysteriously’ move around the house – possibly with the aid of parents – leaving kids confused and quite possibly on their best behaviour.

The book has led to a global trend for parents using Elf on the Shelf toys – and the countless imitations it has spawned – to keep their little ones in line in the run up to Christmas.

It comes after Abbey got into the festive spirit as she donned a Santa hat while enjoying a day out with husband Peter Crouch and their four children at LaplandUK.

The couple seemed in high spirits as they experienced a magical trip with their daughters Sophia, 11, Liberty, seven, and sons Johnny, four, and Jack, three.

Abbey, 37, looked stylish in a long black coat and left her long blonde tresses loose as she cosied up to her children during the day out.

Meanwhile former footballer Peter, 42, wrapped up warm in a quilted navy jacket which he teamed with a black winter hat.

The couple’s eldest daughter Sophia was all smiles as she twinned with her mum in a red Santa hat while Liberty dressed in all beige.

Johnny and Jack looked adorable as they donned matching beige tracksuit bottoms with navy coats and trainers.

During the day, the stars enjoyed an immersive Christmas experience in its own enchanted world in Swinley Forest.

Since its creation in 2007, LaplandUK has seen over a million visitors with this year’s tickets selling out in under three minutes.

The annual event, which sold out in three minutes this year, runs from November 11 until December 24.
