Abbey Clancy reveals how Peter Crouch asked her to move in

Abbey Clancy has detailed the lacklustre way her now husband Peter Crouch asked her to move in with him at the start of their relationship.

The model, 37, revealed that the former professional footballer, 47, told her she ‘may as well’ move in with him after they had been together for a while.

The sore point came up during a conversation on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch, as they offered advice to a listener.

Reading out the query, Peter said: ‘Hi Abbey and Pete, my missus thinks it’s okay to come for one drink with the lads. It’s never f***ing one drink though is it.

‘She’s so smart it infuriates me because she knows exactly what she’s doing the lads won’t tell her to leave when she hints at leaving.’

‘The lads are like one more drink come on!’

Abbey then chimed in: ‘You always ask me to come for one – but I know why.’

Peter admitted: ‘So I can stay.’

He continued: ‘Sometimes I’m having such a good time and I know you’re sat there doing nothing, so I’m like you might as well come up.’

Stopping Peter in his tracks, Abbey said: ‘ I don’t ever want you to start a sentence to me with “you may as well”, because you you did that when we moved in together “you may as well move in, you may as well come up”… it means I don’t really want you to but okay just come then.’

Confessing she was onto something, Peter replied: ‘Hmm, well I’m glad you’ve got it.’

Abbey and Peter often drop hilarious insights into their private life on their popular podcast, which they launched earlier this year.

Earlier this month, Abbey shocked fans when she revealed her husband tells her he wants to have sex by sending her three emojis.

Abbey told how her beau will often send her a beaver emoji followed by an aubergine emoji whenever they’re alone in the house.

She said: ‘I just don’t know how long I can go on with these sexual emojis that you keep sending me.

‘If the kids go to school and he hears me like, put the key in the door I’m in and no one’s in the house, I just get a beaver and an aubergine emoji text. I’m not even gonna say the last one but you can imagine what it is.’

Peter laughed and confirmed: ‘There’s three emojis.’

‘I’ve got a bit of hydration in there,’ Abbey said, referring to the splashing sweat emoji as Peter continued laughing.

‘How vile is that? Am I supposed to go, “Oh yeah, now I’m bang up for it.”‘

Peter said: ‘The beaver emoji I think is the best emoji out of the lot. It’s incredible.’

Abbey asked: ‘Do you think you’re gonna get lucky with those messages?

Peter replied: ‘I’m just letting you know, I’m putting my cards on the table.’

It comes after Abbey told how she ties her dressing gown at the back while drying her hair in a bid to stop Peter trying to get frisky.

The stunner said she previously used to blow-dry her hair in the nude because she found the hot air from the machine too hot.

However, her sportsman husband tried to get amorous, prompting her to bar him from the bedroom while she ties her dressing gown in a way that is too confusing for the former footballer to undo in a hurry.

She explained: ‘It drives me insane. I’ve come up with a new tactic with the dressing gown. Instead of tying the belt at the front, I tie it at the back.

‘It’s like “how do I untie this thing?” It works a treat.’

When Peter asked her why she did not want him admiring her, she told him: ‘I do. Any other time is fine, but not when I’m getting ready.

‘But it’s nice to know that you’re still desirable to your husband after 16 years.’

Abbey and Peter married in 2011 and the couple are parents to Sophia, 11, Liberty, seven, Johnny, five and three-year-old Jack.
