Abbie Chatfield addresses the future of her clothing label Verbose after its Instagram account ‘disappears’ and customers complain about ‘missing orders’

Abbie Chatfield has addressed the future of her fashion brand Verbose after months of complaints about missing orders.

On Tuesday, the former Bachelor star admitted to customers she is not sure whether the brand is going to ‘come back’ but all demands for refunds are being dealt with.

Abbie also insisted that complaints from customers about their missing orders have now been sorted.

A cloud of uncertainty has been hovering over Verbose after shoppers discovered the size-inclusive label’s website was displaying error codes beyond the home page.

‘The reason I haven’t done a statement about Verbose is because we had an issue with suppliers, then I got incredibly busy, extremely mentally unwell and very burnt out,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘I didn’t want to let my business partners down and we were having a break in drops, so took time to reset. Essentially, we have been waiting for me to be better and less busy, with no real timeline or definite answers about where the label will go.’

‘So no reason to issue an explanation if I didn’t have an answer. I still don’t, that’s what I’m hoping time off while result in! I’m unsure if/ when Verbose will come back, as my burnout is very present still and my schedule is no less hectic.’

She apologised and said if any customers have any problems with their refunds they should contact her directly.

‘If anyone had any outstanding issues, DM ME! I will sort ASAP. A preemptive apology to anyone who has outstanding issues, like I said as far as I know it will be rectified. I’m sorry if this has been an issue for that long of a time,’ she ended.

In a separate post, Abbie explained she also had issues with Australia Post but the ‘majority of complaints have been refunded’.

The brand’s official Instagram page hasn’t had a new grid post since March 6, and the label’s website appears to have disappeared.

The last post received several comments from customers making claims about missing orders, returns and refunds, and emails which haven’t been replied to.

However the label and Abbie have been responding to these complaints, apologising for delays and making sure loyal shoppers are listened to.

‘Can someone please respond to my DM regarding a missing order from November?’ one user wrote on the label’s last Instagram post from six weeks ago.

‘Yes I’ve also sent emails about my pre-order and haven’t heard anything!’ another added.

‘Hi @verbosethelabel can someone please respond to my emails or DM regarding my missing order from three months ago?’ one customer asked.

Another raged: ‘I have saved all 36 comments over the past 11 weeks of people asking for refunds, returns, responses and… there has been radio silence.

Verbose launched in May 2022, stocking sizes 6 to 26. At first, it was so popular that items would sell out within minutes of dropping.
