Abbie Chatfield breaks down as she reveals the downside of casual flings

Abbie Chatfield has declared she has had enough of casual flings.

The 28-year-old television star made the surprising revelation on her Instagram on Tuesday.

Sharing a video from her It’s a Lot podcast, a tearful Abbie can be seen expressing her frustration over a series of unsatisfying casual relationships.

‘I actually can’t have someone in my life who makes me feel like s*** before and after I see them,’ she said.

‘I’m so over dating someone casually. I want to date someone properly,’ she continued.

‘Having something casual is just like f***ing myself over.

‘And I [need] to be a bit more brave with my emotions and understand that its better to get a rejection and pretend to be a ‘cool girl’.’

She captioned the post with, ‘Okay I’m officially done with dating causally aka situationships aka hell!!

‘Time to set boundaries and stick to them and not try to be the cool girl who gets walked all over… wish me luck!’

Abbie’s emotional outburst attracted a wave of sympathy from her followers.

‘If they keep you guessin’ they’re messin’, wrote one follower.

‘What you project on social media is that you want casual flings. I know it’s not real life but that’s what strangers and potential boyfriends see,’ they wrote.

It comes after Abbie claimed that hosting a radio program caused her to become depressed.

The media personality took to her Instagram stories to update her fans on her newly improved mental state.

‘Now that I don’t do radio anymore (thank f***) and I’m actually happy and not depressed, get ready for OG Abbie content again,’ she said in the video.

‘Just me s**tposting all the time, all my thoughts. Because I’m single, I don’t have a job at night anymore. I’m ready. I’m eating frozen grapes on the couch and s**tposting.’

The podcaster then went on to say that she will be doing more political commentary and that she will be returning to ‘Covid Abbie,’ now that she no longer has a radio career.

Last year, Abbie announced she was walking away from her successful Hit Network show Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield.

She decided to leave the gruelling gig behind to focus on her podcast It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield.

She also claimed she wanted to devote more time to her budding television career, and her personal life.
