Abbie Chatfield is seen for the first time since her clothing label’s Instagram account went quiet

Abbie Chatfield has been spotted for the first time since her radio co-host abruptly resigned and it was reported her fashion label appears to be closing its doors.

The 27-year-old influencer and podcast host appeared stressed as she took her dog for a walk along Tamarama beach on Thursday.

Chatfield looked downcast as she walked along the shore in a black sports crop top and tiny shorts.

She completed her look with a pair of comfortable black sneakers and roamed the area while glancing at her phone.

On Thursday, it was reported Verbose the Label, the fashion brand owned by Abbie, appears to be closing its doors.

She launched the size-inclusive range less than a year ago, but it now looks like the business could be winding down as Chatfield juggles multiple other commitments, including a national radio show and TV hosting gigs.

The brand’s official Instagram page hasn’t had a new grid post since March 6, and its products have been marked down on the label’s website and listed as ‘final sale’.

The last post has received several comments from customers making claims about missing orders, returns and refunds, and emails that haven’t been replied to.

However, the label and Chatfield have been responding to these complaints, apologising for delays and making sure the customers are listened to.

‘Can someone please respond to my DM regarding a missing order from November?’ one user wrote on the label’s last Instagram post from six weeks ago.

‘Yes I’ve also sent emails about my pre-order and haven’t heard anything!’ another added.

‘Hi @verbosethelabel can someone please respond to my emails or DM regarding my missing order from three months ago?’ one customer asked.

Another raged: ‘I have saved all 36 comments over the past 11 weeks of people asking for refunds, returns, responses and… there has been radio silence.

‘As valued, loyal customers that have spent our hard-earned money, we deserve to know why you are not keeping your promises and not honouring your brand.’

While this person was clearly frustrated, it does appear that Chatfield and Verbose are trying to do right by customers by getting in touch with them privately.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Abbie Chatfield and Verbose for comment.

Verbose launched in May last year, stocking sizes 6 to 26. At first, it was so popular that items would sell out within minutes of dropping.

The situation at Verbose isn’t the only recent drama for Chatfield.

Her radio co-host Rohan Edwards abruptly resigned from his role on her Hit Network show Hot Nights on Monday, effective immediately.

His exit was confirmed in an email to SCA staff – the day all the major radio shows returned after the two-week Easter survey break.

‘No one’s sure what’s going on. Abbie seems to get along well with Rohan on the air, but people are wondering if things aren’t so rosy behind the scenes,’ a source said.

In another blow for Hot Nights, executive producer Max Corstorphan, who had helmed the show since its launch in early 2022, also quit several weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Chatfield’s new dating show FBoy Island was criticised this week for its lack of ‘body diversity’ after the female cast members were announced.

But some of her fans noted there was no size diversity among the three women, saying it was ‘so sad’ to see a total absence of ‘plus-size’ talent.

‘No body diversity… so sad, babe,’ one person commented.

Chatfield, a former Bachelor contestant, soon responded by saying she agreed there should be better representation on the matchmaking show.

‘Unfortunately I don’t control casting in any way, but your comment shows producers of all shows that having body diversity is wanted by the public so I appreciate the comment,’ she wrote.

Chatfield found herself in the hosting chair for the new 10-part series which will follow three ladies as they attempt to find love out of 24 suitors.
