Abbie Chatfield has had a ‘scary’ encounter with a strange man on the phone after a ‘friend’ leaked her personal mobile number.
The media personality, 29, took to Instagram on Wednesday just moments after hanging up on the ‘random’ who called to try and get on her podcast, It’s A Lot.
She slammed the man and said she should only be contacted ‘through her manager’.
‘Just had a man call me that got my number through a friend of a friend talking about something. I don’t know what it was. I don’t really care what it was,’ she said.
‘I just want to say, if you get my number through a friend of a friend, you scare me. I don’t like it, I don’t care why you’re calling. You should go through my manager.
‘Please don’t call my personal phone number… I will be incredibly rude to you and I will hang up on you.
‘Do not call me unless you are allowed to call me. It is scary. It’s is f**king scary. And if you do have my phone number… don’t give it to f**king anyone.’
Abbie explained she thought the man was a journalist doing an interview, before quickly discovering he was calling to ask to be a guest on her podcast.

‘It’s very scary to be called by a random man who I do not know. It’s not f**king nice. They know everything about me but it’s a f**king stranger on the phone,’ she said.
‘That’s why I don’t answer random numbers. I was doing press and I thought it was a f**king journalist and I answered it from a random person talking to me.’
Abbie added that if anyone thought she was ‘overreacting’ they should ‘get some empathy and understand she has received death threats before’.

It comes after Abbie revealed she and boyfriend Adam Hyde have taken a major step in their relationship.
The Peking Duk frontman was on Abbie’s It’s A Lot podcast late last month when the lovebirds conducted an Ask Me Anything session on their relationship.
After a listener asked, ‘Are Abbie and Adam planning to move in together?’ both of them enthusiastically responded: ‘Yes.’
‘Ah, yes we are,’ said Adam, while Abbie echoed: ‘We are!’
Abbie and Adam confirmed they have spent almost every night together since they began dating six months ago.

Adam said he plans to move into Abbie’s home in January 2025 and the pair confessed they want to ‘marry’ each other.
The musician also added that he is planning on having children with the podcaster.
‘And also yeah, I’m like if there’s anyone I’m having kids with, it’s you for sure and me and you have spoken a lot about it,’ he said.
But Abbie made sure Adam knew that children would have to wait, saying: ‘I don’t want them [kids] for at least five years.’
