Abbie Chatfield shares shock prediction about Donald Trump as she compares I’m A Celebrity incident to his assassination attempt: ‘I feel sick’

Abbie Chatfield has compared an experience she endured on reality television to former US President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt.

The former Bachelor star took to TikTok on Monday to say she believed getting bitten on the hand by a snake was similar to Donald Trump being shot at during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday.

‘Trump getting shot in the ear, and it just missing his head is really similar to the time when I was on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and I got bitten by a non-venomous snake on my hand,’ the reality star revealed.

‘In that it caused some headlines and people felt sorry for me, or they thought I was very brave for allowing Dr Chris Brown to take that snake off my hand.’ 

Abbie added she had made herself ‘feel sick’ upon drawing parallels between her serpentine scrape and the incident in Pennsylvania and what it could mean for the US Presidential election in November.

‘My point is, I won I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! so I’m concerned,’ Abbie said before offering a concerning exhale.

‘Oh well, what can we do? What the f**k? He’s going to get in. This is f***ing crazy. I was doing a joke to start off with, but now I feel sick.’

Many of Abbie’s followers were quick to echo her sentiments with the likes of ‘yeah, I’m also very concerned’ and ‘I’ve been thinking the same, girl.’

Others however offered scathing rebuttals to the comparison. 

‘WOW, the EGO to compare “similarities” to a snake bite of a c grade “celeb”- to a bullet to the head from an attempted assassination at one of the most famous people on the globe,’ one follower opined.

Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old would-be assassin who shot Donald Trump, opened fire at the former president with an AR-style rifle from a roof 130 yards from the rally stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday at 6.15pm.

Abbie, who won the 2021 iteration of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! was bitten on the hand by a snake during a challenge on the hit reality show. 

As host Dr Chris Brown came to Abbie’s aid and cradled the distraught star, a snake handler was needed to help remove the reptile from her hand.
