Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield has shared the three clues you could unintentionally be in a relationship with a ‘f**kboy.’ 

‘F**kboy’ is a slang term used to describe men who emotionally manipulate women with the intention of getting them into bed, before suddenly dumping them. 

Abbie, 27, has plenty of history dealing with her own love rats, and delved into her expertise as the host of BINGE’s new reality dating series FBoy Island. 

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at FBoy Island’s launch party in Sydney’s Potts Point on Thursday night, Abbie shared some hints about how to spot a love rat. 

‘If someone is love bombing you – that’s a huge red flag,’ she began, referring to the dating tactic where someone ‘bombs’ a person with extreme displays of affection in a manipulative manner.

‘If they’re overly smitten too soon [and if they’re] meeting you incessantly within two weeks, only to distance themselves later, you might also be dealing with an FBoy,’ she added. 

When asked what the best tips to getting rid of a love rat, Abbie laughed: ‘It’s a steep climb involving lots of therapy and a firm friend or two to ban you from getting sucked into their charms.’

‘They aren’t easy to get rid of,’ she warned. 

How to know if you’re dating a f**kboy

Abbie also revealed what fans can expect to see on the controversial debut season of FBoy Island. 

‘The series is packed with thrills and spills. I mean, the first episode is set to make waves in the Aussie TV landscape,’ she teased.

‘I’m biting my tongue not to give anything away, but let’s just say there’s an incident, some fallouts and it’s so refreshing to see men stepping up for the right causes.’

Meanwhile, talking about her hosting debut, the former Bachelor in Paradise star confessed, ‘Taking up the hosting baton has been an incredible journey.’

‘The roles are very different from my stint as a judge on The Masked Singer, and it’s been quite a nerve-racking ride. There’s been a heap of self-imposed pressure, but Warner Brothers and BINGE have been terrific.’
