Australian actress Abbie Cornish has surprised fans by announcing her engagement to American MMA fighter Adel Altamimi, 30.
The 36-year-old took to her Instagram on Thursday to share the exciting news with her legions of followers, posting a series of loved up photos.
Sharing a photo of her hand entwined with the hand of her beau, engagement ring on display, the star quotes John Keats: ‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever’.

‘You’ve swept me off my feet my love. I have been waiting for you. The answer is yes!’ the Limitless star proudly announced.
‘And may God share this light and love with us forever in his arms. Blessed be this day with you. We’ll never forget this anniversary! Happy Valentine’s Day to my fiancé,’ the LA-based actress added.
The Geostorm star followed that post with a sweet snap of herself cuddling up to Adel showing off a glimpse of the ring, along with the caption: ‘Oh my’.

The stunning ring featured a large cushion cut diamond set on a split shank halo ring.
Hours before her engagement Abbie took to her Instagram to gush over her man in a sweet Valentine’s Day tribute.
She wrote ‘I respect you so much. The light you see is the light you give. Your mindset and patient heroism in this life is beyond…’

It’s unclear how long the Australian beauty and her Bellator Fighter beau have been dating.
News of Abbie’s engagement comes after 2010 split from actor Ryan Phillippe, of Cruel Intentions fame.
They began dating in 2006 shortly after his divorce from Academy Award winning actress Reese Witherspoon, with whom he shares two children.
