Jessica was a cadet reporter for the broadcaster back in 2020, before making her way on air.

She is not the only one to suffer an embarrassing gaffe on the ABC.

Natasha Exelby was caught playing with a pen when the camera cut back to her at her desk during an ABC bulletin back in 2017.

Her shocked response gave viewers a good laugh – but her bosses were reportedly less than amused, swiftly taking her off news reading duties and relegating her to junior producer shifts.

The ABC then backpedalled on their decision to sideline the news reporter following a public outcry.

She later left the ABC weeks after the gaffe.

Following reports she was taken off news reading duties due to ‘behavioural issues’, the TV personality appeared to take a swipe at the network.

Speaking of her decision to stay quiet during the scandal, Natasha told The Sunday Telegraph: ‘Even though they (the ABC) didn’t do the right thing by me, I wanted to do the right thing by them’.
