AC Milan plotting sensational TRIPLE transfer raid on Chelsea as Italian giants ‘begin talks’ over moves for out-of-favour trio Hakim Ziyech, Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori

AC Milan are plotting a triple transfer raid on European champions Chelsea as they look to bolster their squad for next season by signing Olivier Giroud, Hakim Ziyech and Fikayo Tomori.
Despite finishing the campaign trophyless, the Italian giants enjoyed a resurgence as they finished second in Serie A to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2013-14.
And on the Rossoneri’s wishlist this summer are the aforementioned Chelsea trio as they look to win the Serie A title and compete in Europe’s elite club competition too next term, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Milan also want to exercise the £25m option on Fikayo Tomori’s loan into a permanent one
The centre-back has impressed the Italian giants since joining on loan from Chelsea in January
Out of those three bids, Tomori would appear the easiest to conclude following a successful loan spell there in the January transfer window.
As part of the loan, AC Milan have the option to buy him for £25million and that looks likely to now be a formality.
Ziyech was one of Chelsea’s statement signings last summer but the Moroccan has endured a mixed debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
The £37.8m signing from Ajax was an unused substitute during their Champions League final win over Manchester City last month and was often behind Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic in the pecking order of the attacking midfield berths.
However, Milan face competition for Ziyech with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that Napoli are also interested in his services.

Giroud was also an unused substitute for the Porto showpiece against City and his future is reportedly up in the air.
The 34-year-old often played second fiddle to Timo Werner under manager Thomas Tuchel, despite being the greater goalscoring threat. Giroud scored 11 goals in 31 games for the club this season with a 29 per cent shot conversion rate, while Werner netted 12 times in 52 matches with 12 per cent shot conversion rate.
Chelsea revealed earlier this month that they had triggered a 12-month extension clause in Giroud’s contract back in April – enabling them to not lose the France striker on a free transfer.
Despite the Blues’ ploy, speaking last week Giroud admitted he is open to a move away from Stamford Bridge – hailing his admiration for two Milan legends in the process.

‘I want to make it clear that Chelsea reactivated the clause in April and they recently announced it to comply with Premier League rules,’ he said when asked whether the extension changed anything regarding his desire to leave.
‘It’s fair to remember that I liked [Milan legends] Marco van Basten and Andriy Shevchenko.
‘Milan are a big club and one of the great teams in Europe. But, today, I will not talk about my future at the club because I am focused on the France team and the Euros, which is fast approaching.’
