Stacey Flounders put on a brave face today as she stepped out for the first time since her car crash horror.
Flounders, the ex-girlfriend of disgraced footballer Adam Johnson, was travelling from her home in Hartlepool to see him HMP Mooreland in South Yorkshire shortly after 9am yesterday when she suffered the collision.
After hospital treatment for a broken wrist, she held her left arm to her body as she left home with daughter Ayla Sofia today.

The 27-year-old had just dropped off the couple’s daughter at nursery when her white £30,000-Mercedes coupe, which has a top speed of 130mph, smashed into the back of a van.
The incident left her with a broken wrist, bruising to her nose and face and body and suffered back and neck injuries.
Ms Flounders’ mother, Debra, said her daughter was ‘battered and bruised’ after the crash.
She told MailOnline: ‘The sunlight was blinding her eyes and she went into the back of a van, apparently. Stacey is fine, a little bit shook up but fine.’
Mrs Flounders added: ‘She got checked out at hospital and she’s a bit battered and bruised.
‘She was in the car on her own when she crashed. Her friend took her to hospital, she’s a bit sore but she’s fine – thank God.’

Ms Flounders was released from hospital yesterday and is recovering at her home.
Ms Flounders is said to be working 16 hours a week as an account manager for an IT data firm and supplementing her income with tax credits.
Johnson earned around £60,000-a-week before his offences were exposed.
He and former air hostess Ms Flounders lived in a £2million mansion in County Durham.
The large home has since been put on the market but Johnson is said to make thousands from other properties and is said to have millions saved from his playing days.
