A 20-year-old reveller’s attempt to get the crowd going by crowd surfing at a gig has gone horribly wrong.
The Adelaide reveller was caught on camera standing shirtless on a balcony at Thebarton Theatre before suddenly plunging to the earth.
The man threw his arms in the air as people cheered before he made the terrifying four metre-jump into the mosh pit as Brisbane punk rock band Dune Rats performed live.

Brendon Maczkowiack witnessed the incident and told The Advertiser everyone thought the young man (pictured) was just dancing on the balcony
Although he expected to be caught, the crowd separated and the man fell hard onto the ground.
Paramedics were seen rushing to the 20-year-old’s aid, as he lay on the ground with blood all over his face.
Brendon Maczkowiack witnessed the incident and told The Advertiser everyone thought the young man was just dancing on the balcony, encouraging him to record it.
‘Then two seconds later he just jumped into the pit,’ Mr Maczkowiack said.
‘Everyone started screaming and just moved out of the way and let him fall.
‘[His] face was covered in blood. They had to keep wiping it away. It was intense.’
The man was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with facial injuries.
