Adele credits a life-changing self-help book for her seven-stone weight loss

She has shed an incredible seven stone after going on a strict diet of 1,000 calories per day.

And Adele has revealed her transformation is the result of a self-help book that led her find ‘joy and freedom’.

The popstar, 32, said in a post on Instagram on Saturday that reading Untamed, Stop Pleasing, Start Living by Glennon Doyle proved life-changing.

She shared a snap of the book’s cover and said if her followers wanted to make changes they should buy a copy.

The Someone Like You hitmaker said: ‘If you’re ready – this book will shake your brain and make your soul scream. I am so ready for myself after reading this book! 

‘It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time. Whew!

The star continued, saying the book will be one which she keeps on returning to for the rest of her life.

She said: ‘Read this book and have a highlighter on hand to make notes because you’ll want to refer back to it trust me!

The book is described by Waterstones as ‘part inspiration, part memoir, it explores the joy and peace we discover when we stop striving to meet the expectations of the world, and instead dare to listen to and trust in the voice deep inside us.’

After posting the photo, Adele revealed she has ‘no idea’ when her new album is going to be released.

The singer is currently working on a follow-up to 2015’s 25, but confessed to a fan that she is none the wiser as to when the new record will be released.

Adele responded to the fan after they commented on a photo of the book asking when to expect new music.

It was also claimed that Adele had found making new music ‘like therapy’ after the end of marriage to Simon Konecki last year.

An insider revealed: ‘She’s said in the past that creating new music is almost like therapy.

‘You can tell that she is ready to share with her fans. She is so busy, but her life is better-rounded than it was before. She is very fulfilled being an artist. New music is still a big deal for her, and she feels alive and happy.’
