Adele fans brace for a potential tempest as raging thunderstorms threaten highly anticipated Munich concert

Adele fans could end up suffering the wrath of fierce thunderstorms, as weather experts have issued a severe weather warning and concert organiser’s have announced emergency plans.

Singing superstar Adele, 36, is scheduled to take the stage in Germany on Friday night, just six miles outside the city of Munich, for the first of ten highly anticipated performances.

And whilst excitement levels have sky-rocketed there is a growing fear that the weather could turn the evening into a complete catastrophe.

The German Weather Service (DWD) issued a severe weather warning which stated: ‘Individual thunderstorms are approaching from the west. There will be gusts of wind with speeds around 60 km/h (17 m/s)’.

It continued that the potential for lightning to strike presented a serious danger to life, and urged fans to avoid staying outdoors – which is exactly what attending a concert like this would mean.

But despite the DWD issuing a yellow warning, indicating a high risk, some fans are refusing to let fears about the whether dampen their spirits.

Speaking to MailOnline, Charlotte Roberts, 22, from Mold in North Wales said: ‘The weather forecast has been improving but it’s still kind of touch and go.’

‘There’s a really dark cloud overhead, but we’re going to be okay whatever happens – because both my mother and I brought our ponchos! It’s exciting!’

The weather threat is so severe that fans are being advised to seek shelter in buildings and prepare for the worst.

Further recommendations for action include securing loose objects and avoiding large bodies of water.

With temperatures around 23°C and humidity at 74%, the conditions are ripe for severe storms.

But although the darkening skies over Munich remain unpredictable, fans are overwhelmingly excited about the concert taking place later in the evening.

Some have admitted to feeling uneasy, especially given that even Adele had to cancel her final dress rehearsal yesterday due to intense lightning and severe storms.

As well as being on high-alert, supporters of the British singer have also been forced to shell out outrageous amounts of dosh – including £5 for water, £135 for a 1.5 litre bottle of wine and £169 for a cushion cover

The exhibition centre, named ‘Adele World’  – he size of almost 60 football pitches – features a Ferris wheel, a beer garden, and a variety of food trucks, as well as a wine bar named after Adele’s song ‘I Drink Wine.’

But the prices are extortionate, including four euros just to ride that Ferris wheel.

And it’s not just the food and drink prices that are causing a stir, as Adele merchandise is commanding sky-high prices as well.

Fans looking to snag a souvenir will have to dig deep into their wallets as a basic jumper adorned with Adele’s name in glittering stones costs a whopping 100 euros (£84.50).

An official statement from the organisers revealed: 'Should the worst-case scenario of a concert cancellation occur, a 'safe room' is available for all visitors, which can be accessed quickly but calmly as instructed'

Meanwhile the severe weather warning has prompted the event organisers to announce an emergency plan.

An official statement revealed: ‘Should the worst-case scenario of a concert cancellation occur, a ‘safe room’ is available for all visitors, which can be accessed quickly but calmly as instructed.’

These emergency shelters are located on the neighbouring exhibition grounds in Riem and are intended to provide refuge from the severe weather.

Security staff are said too be on high alert and ready to guide fans to safety if the situation becomes too hazardous.

But the organisers stressed that there is a strict ban on umbrellas at the venue, leaving fans with no choice but to bring ponchos for protection.

In addition to these announcements, the Munich city authority issued urgent warnings, urging fans to stay informed and take appropriate precautions.

It comes after Adele’s first concert in Munich suffers setback as it was hit by security breach just hours before her show.

In an unsettling breach of security, one man snuck in without permission and shared videos on Instagram on Thursday.

The content creator who calls himself ‘Sneakerking4u’ on social media, boasts at supposedly being a master of gaining free access to concerts, VIP areas, or exclusive parties – as he never goes with a ticket.

Uploading the Instagram clip, the content creator shared a video of the huge stage and staff working hard on the food market area to get it ready for Friday’s show.
