‘We’re very happy’: Adele gushes over new boyfriend Rich Paul and says the sports agent isn’t ‘frazzled’ by her mega-fame… and ‘incredibly arrived’ just before her estranged father died
Adele is speaking for the first time about her new boyfriend, sports agent Rich Paul.
In a new British Vogue, the 33-year-old megastar confirms that she and Rich, 39, are ‘very happy’ and has revealed that he’s ‘frazzled’ by her huge, global fame.
She also tells American Vogue in a separate profile published Thursday, that Rich ‘just incredibly arrived’ days before her estranged father passed away. (Her dad Mark Evans died from cancer aged 57 in May this year, after falling out in 2011.)
Tottenham-born Adele introduces Rich – who represents LeBron James – to the interviewer, who noted how the singer beamed with ‘Hi, darlin’!’ when he walked into the photoshoot.

Earlier this year in March, Adele finalized her divorce with ex-husband Simon Konecki, 46, after nearly two years of marriage. The pair share an eight-year-old son Angelo together.
‘Yes, we’re together,’ Adele confirms in the interview, adding: ‘We’re very happy.’
The pair have been together for a few months, but have shared mutual friends for a much longer period of time.

The feature notes that – after enjoying her second cocktail – Adele then opens up further about the relationship, explaining why she didn’t get ‘dragged along’ to a basketball game with Rich.
‘And I didn’t get dragged along to the [basketball game the other night] because that’s his line of work,’ she said.
However, the Grammy winning star confesses that it no longer feels ‘stressful’ going out in the public eye with her new man by her side.
‘It used to, but it hasn’t been this time because he doesn’t mind. Normally, I think I get scared about it because it’s very emasculating. Really emasculating.’
‘I did date before Rich, but they hated it,’ Adele said of her previous boyfriends. ‘They’d find it stressful being out or seen with me, which meant that I guarded all of it beyond. It never evolved because we were never experiencing things together.’
‘Whereas he’s not frazzled by it at all. It feels like it’s consistent and considerate enough that I don’t care who knows.’
She added excitedly: ‘He’s great. He’s so f**kng funny. He’s so smart, you know.’
Meanwhile, in her interview with American Vogue, Adele says she feels sage with Paul.
‘I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild,’ she said.
‘I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.’
