AFL: Alex Pike endorses anti-vaccine Instagram post saying ‘f**k science’

Nathan Buckley’s cosmetic nurse girlfriend Alex Pike endorses anti-vaccine Instagram post saying ‘f**k $cience’ but says she isn’t a Covid conspiracy theorist

Nathan Buckley’s girlfriend Alex Pike says she isn’t a Covid denier after sharing a questionable meme on Instagram and endorsing another post criticising vaccines.

The cosmetic nurse, 44, reposted a meme on Monday which showed Alien and Predator – from the sci-fi film series – sitting side by side on an outdoor swing set.

‘Are we up next?’ asks Predator, to which Alien responds: ‘Nah, they’re trying the [virus emoji] thing again.’

The mother of three tagged the original poster and wrote: ‘Always.’

While its exact meaning is unclear, the meme’s suggestion that ‘they’ are ‘trying the Covid thing’ plays into false theories about the virus being part of a conspiracy.

When contacted for comment on Monday, Ms Pike told Daily Mail Australia the meme wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously.

‘Ah… the alien meme… it was a joke, they looked cute on the swing,’ she said.

Ms Pike also recently commented on another meme about ‘Big Pharma’ making money from selling masks and Covid-19 vaccinations.

The meme parodied a famous scene from Chappelle’s Show in which in Rick James destroys Eddie Murphy’s couch while screaming ‘f**k your couch!’

However, the image was edited to look like Rick was stamping on the Pfizer logo and cartoon images depicting face masks, medicinal pills and vaccines.

‘F**k yo $cience!’ the caption read, with the dollar sign seemingly suggesting that scientists are driven by money instead of public health.

Ms Pike did not make the meme herself but nonetheless liked it and commented below the post: ‘Best’ alongside a series of clapping emojis.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Ms Pike for further comment.
