‘I think people ask so much [about whether they were a couple] because it must have been portrayed a different way on TV to what was actually happening being in [the jungle],’ Josh told Daily Mail Australia.
‘People saw one thing and that’s why they were asking the question, but no there’s nothing going on there,’ the AFL hunk went on to say of a romance with former Playboy model Simone, 24.
Despite gaining somewhat of a sex symbol status, Josh revealed that he’s happily single.
‘I’m not dating, I’m just focusing on my companies. My dates consist of just walking my dog and going to the office,’ the Sydney-based star said.

The Kath & Kim star added: ‘Hey, have some babies, they’d be good-looking!’
Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison, 30, added: ‘I am romance starved, I’ve not seen a good one in years. And I’m hooked with Josh and Simone.’
However during his exit interview with host Julia Morris, Josh shut down the idea of a romance, insisting that they are like brother and sister.
‘We’ll both be single, you heard it here. We’re like brother and sister, she’s the younger sister,’ Josh said.

The retired sports star will host an exclusive event in Sydney on Saturday, on board a luxury super yacht, as part of the FIFA World Cup.
Guests will be treated to an unforgettable night, complete with bars, dance floors and even a soccer pitch on the roof.
Explaining his love for soccer despite having forged a career as a professional footballer, Josh told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday: ‘All my brothers and sisters were soccer players, my older brother who lives here in Sydney is still managing players, so I’ve always had an eye on soccer.’
He added: ‘Growing up in Melbourne we just love all sports.’
