Geelong were forced to defeat fellow finals contenders Melbourne without their star man after Jeremy Cameron suffered a sickening injury on Thursday.
Contesting the ball, Cameron ran into the shoulder of teammate Gary Rohan and was knocked out cold before he hit the ground.
The former GWS star was stretchered off immediately and received a heartwarming ovation from the Cats faithful, who are holding their breath over his condition.
