AFL premiership-winning star Angus Brayshaw announces engagement to daughter of Danny Frawley 

Melbourne Demons star Angus Brayshaw has announced his engagement to Danielle Frawley, daughter of AFL great Danny Frawley.

The loved-up couple took to Instagram on Thursday to announce their exciting news. ‘She said yes,’ Brayshaw posted alongside a picture of Frawley flaunting her engagement ring. 

The pair are long-time partners and have known each other since they were children, with their parents friends of 25 years. 

Danny Frawley passed away in 2019 and his wife, Anita, said her daughter and Brayshaw hit it off immediately.

‘We have been family friends with Debra and Mark (Brayshaw, Angus’ parents) for many, many years, going back 20, 25 years, and we were at their house in Sandringham many years ago, and Angus and Danielle were there,’ she told ABC Radio after Melbourne’s grand final triumph in 2021.

Brayshaw and Frawley have known each other since childhood and hit it off immediately

‘Mark and I picked up straight away. I said, ‘There is a spark here, Mark,’ and we had a great laugh.

‘We have a photo of them back in the day when they were seven, and we joke about it now that it was right back in those early days that we thought something would happen.

‘He is a beautiful man.’
