AFL star Brendan Fevola ordered to pay $26K in outstanding fines after sheriffs arrive at his Melbourne property and threaten to throw him in jail for 60 days

Radio host Brendan Fevola has revealed sheriffs ordered him to pay $25,945 in fines after they arrived at his property last week.

Fevola, 43, spoke about the ordeal on his breakfast show 101.9 The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick on Tuesday.

The former AFL player explained there were a combination of toll and parking fines that were over 13 years old.

The sheriffs explained if he didn’t pay the fines on the spot, they would claim items to the value of $26,000 or he would be jailed for 60 days.

Fevola told listeners he went bankrupt over 10 years ago and assumed all warrants would be wiped.

‘I went bankrupt back in 2011 or 2012, all your stuff gets wiped, so I just assumed I didn’t have any warrants or parking fines,’ he explained.

The former footy player revealed the situation to his wife who was far from impressed.

‘So Alex got her bank card out, tapped it, paid for it… and she was absolutely filthy,’ he said.

The footy star was left furious earlier this month when he discovered stadiums in Australia have enforced a ridiculous rule around friendship bracelets during Taylor Swift’s upcoming Eras tour.

He explained he spent months helping his daughters Mia, 23, Leni, 15, Lulu, 11, and Tobi, five, make ‘about 50’ bracelets to trade with other fans during one of the popstar’s Aussie shows – a traditional practice among Swifties worldwide.

He said his kids have been left devastated by the new rule, which has flushed their months of hard work down the toilet.

The Eras Tour FAQ page explains: ‘Friendship bracelets are allowed to be brought into the venues but must be worn on patrons’ arms.

‘Strictly no carabiner, d-rings, or other [sic].’
