AFL star Josh Gibson ‘splits from wife Ashley Bright after one year of marriage and deletes their wedding photos from social media’

Josh Gibson has reportedly split from his wife Ashley Bright after one year of marriage.

The former AFL star, 40, first sparked break-up rumours when he seemingly removed photos of their March 2023 wedding from his social media accounts.

The footy couple further fuelled speculation when they were seen viewing separate properties, according to the Herald Sun.

Their wedding snaps seemingly no longer feature on Josh’s Instagram, with ones of their son Brody, two, in a tuxedo remaining the only evidence of the big day.

The same images of Brody also remain on Ashley’s page. She also re-shared one of them in February alongside the poignant caption: ‘Everything I ever needed.’

No recent photos of the pair feature on either of their Instagram pages, with the most recent one appearing on Ashley’s account in a 2022 Christmas Day post.

In another sign of a potential split, the couple have reportedly also been searching independently for new properties, sources say.

The former Hawks defender is believed to have recently bought a home in Ballarat.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Josh’s representatives for comment.

‘I never imagined finding the love and fulfilment that has come across me since you came into my world,’ he said at the time.

‘Being married to you is perfect. Having a family with you is perfect. I am so looking forward to the next chapter of our life.

‘I really hope the next chapter we write, though, involves a child that actually sleeps through the night because we can’t have a Brody 2.0.’

The couple first confirmed their romance back in 2020 and welcomed Brody about a year later, in September 2021.
