Former AFL player Daniel Gorringe doesn’t know what to do with his hilarious Stuart Dew bum tattoo after the Gold Coast Suns sacked the under-fire coach earlier in the week.

Gorringe, who played 22 games for the Suns across four seasons, claimed he would get the face of Dew inked on his posterior if the Gold Coast Suns beat Carlton in 2021.

When the Suns duly did, Gorringe held up his end of the bargain and got Dew inked on his left cheek at a tattoo parlour on the Gold Coast.

‘Can’t wait to have a lifetime bond with Stuey Dew,’ he wrote on social media at the time.

The Suns on Tuesday made the call to part ways with 43-year-old Dew, citing a lack of on-field performance.

Gorringe is now uncertain what to do with his tattoo and took to Twitter to voice his concerns.

‘What am I suppose to do with this? I was more committed to Dew than anyone,’ posted Gorringe alongside a photo of his inked buttock.

Foot fans offered a few suggestions.

‘Get one of Dimma in a GC shirt receiving the kick so it appears a passing on of the baton,’ suggested one person.

‘Maybe he ends up as an assistant somewhere and you just need to change the colour of the polo,’ replied another.

‘Art is timeless and cares little for Stueys employment status,’ said a third.

Meanwhile, other footy fans have slammed the Suns for a post on social media that many feel makes it look like the former coach has passed away.

The club posted a graphic to social media on Tuesday morning thanking Dew for his six years coaching. Alongside the message, they included a shot of Dew smiling with a sunset behind him.

Footy fans took to the comment section to criticise the graphic design job.

‘This legitimately looks like a memoriam post,’ wrote one person.

‘At the going down of the Suns of the Gold Coast sky, we will remember him,’ joked another.

‘This photo looks like he passed away,’ complained a third.

‘Graphic designer needs to go as well,’ commented another.

Dew started as coach in 2018 and compiled 36 wins, 84 losses and a draw from 121 matches in charge.

His contract was due to expire at the end of the 2024 season and it has been widely rumoured that former Richmond coach Damien Hardwick could be in line to take over at the struggling club.
