Rory Lobb and his fiancée Lexi Mary have confirmed their wedding date and dished the details on their special day.

The AFL player, 31, got down on one knee and popped the big question to social media star Lexi during a holiday to the Maldives late last year.

The loved-up couple are now in the middle of wedding planning and revealed they are due to tie the knot in February 2025.

Giving details on their nuptials, Lexi revealed they want to exchange vows in an intimate ceremony just surrounded by their close family and friends.

After saying ‘I do’, the couple then plan to jet off for a sun-soaked holiday in the Maldives – where they got engaged – with their loved ones. 

‘We’ll have a small wedding, we never want it to feel like a chore so it’ll be nice and intimate,’ Mary told the Herald Sun.

‘And then we’ll head to the Maldives later with family and friends.’

In November, Western Bulldogs star Rory revealed he had popped the question to Lexi during a romantic proposal on a secluded beach.

Taking to Instagram at the time, he shared a photograph of the romantic dinner set-up on the beach and a snap of Lexi’s very lavish diamond engagement ring.

Elsewhere, earlier this year, Rory was roasted online after posting a cringeworthy TikTok with Lexi after being dropped by the Western Bulldogs.

He has fallen behind rising star Sam Darcy in the pecking order this season – and bizarrely chose to make a social media clip about his demotion to the VFL.

The ruckman and Lexi poked fun at his playing situation as the couple lip-synced the chorus from High School Musical, Gotta Go My Own Way.

Sharing the video to Lexi’s TikTok, she captioned the post: ‘POV (Point of View): He has to play VFL for the rest of his career.’

Bemused footy fans were quick to take to the comments section to mock the star for posting the cringeworthy clip. 

Rory made his AFL debut with the GWS Giants in 2014 before joining Fremantle in 2019.

After he was the club’s leading goalkicker in 2022, Lobb requested a trade to the Western Bulldogs last season – and some Dockers fans in Western Australia are still said to be fuming at his defection.
