AFL WAG Clementine McVeigh shares first photo of new baby

AFL WAG Clementine McVeigh has shared the first picture of her new baby girl Florence.

The 34-year-old and her husband, Sydney Swans player Jarrad McVeigh, welcomed their newest addition into the world on Tuesday.

Florence is the couple’s third daughter and will join their five-year-old Lolita-Luella at their home in Sydney’s beachside suburb of Bondi.

Bundle of joy: AFL WAG Clementine McVeigh gave birth to her third child, a baby girl called Florence on Tuesday

Sadly their firstborn, Luella, died aged just four weeks in 2011 after she was born with a serious heart condition.

Clementine shared a heartfelt tribute to Luella on her Instagram in July this year on what would have been her firstborn’s sixth birthday.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the time, Clementine said: ‘She made me the person I am today.. She taught me the true meaning of Love, compassion, gratitude and kindness.’

The model also said that losing Luella was ‘hell.’

‘Losing a child is hell. I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody,’ the brunette told Marie Claire in early September.

‘It made me appreciate everything I have in life because it can be taken away in a split second.’

‘My husband Jarrad and I cherish every moment we have with our second daughter Lolita-Luella, and we’ll do the same with our third daughter,’ she said.

The couple announced the arrival of Florence on the Sydney Swans’ official website, with Jarrad sharing that although Clementine had been due to give birth on Monday 18 September, they had ‘sped things up a bit’ so he could play in the AFL semi-final on Friday.

‘The week has started off pretty well, everyone is healthy and happy so I’ll quickly train today then head back to the hospital,’ he told the site.

‘Two father-daughters (for the future) is all right.’

The announcement comes just days after the New Zealand-born model shared pictures of her burgeoning baby bump on Instagram.

Jarrad’s appearance against Geelong Cats on Friday will mark his will mark his 300th game for Sydney Swans.

The All Australian defender will become just the fourth Swan to play 300 games, joining former teammates Adam Goodes (372 games), Jude Bolton (325) and Michael O’Loughlin (303) in the exclusive club.

However, Jarrad admitted that with the impending birth of his third child plus a massive final on the horizon, his milestone hadn’t taken up too much of his focus this week but that he was still ‘extremely proud’ of the achievement.
