She was immediately placed on report after lashing out at Hosking, and the mark was overturned.

To make matters worse for D’Arcy’s Collingwood side they lost the season-opener to Carlton 3.4 (22) to 2.2 (14).

After the game Hosking joked about taking the shot in the groin.

‘You never like to see that but we’ll leave it up to match review panel,’ she told Channel Seven after the game.

Her twin sister Jess was also in the wars but after the final whistle had sounded.

She was left with a bloody nose after copping a stray elbow in the face from a teammate while singing the team song to celebrate her side’s victory.

D’Arcy will face a wait over the weekend to find out if she will be suspended.

The kick will be assessed by Match Review Officer Michael Christian.
