AFLW star Moana Hope and Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil all but confirm rumours as the cosy up for intimate selfie

AFLW star Moana Hope has shared a very cosy selfie with Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil, further fuelling rumours the pair are secretly dating.

The black-and-white image, posted to Instagram Stories on Saturday night, shows Moana, 35, posing cheek-to-cheek with the beauty queen, 30, as they watched the Matildas’ FIFA Women’s World Cup third-place playoff. 

The duo were all smiles as Moana held the camera, while Maria threw her arms around the athletes neck and drew her in close.  

Both Moana and Maria recently announced they had broken up with their respective partners and appear to have found comfort in each other.

Earlier this month, they were spotted getting cosy at a viewing party of Rupaul’s Drag Race Down Under, after Thattil was announced as a judge on the Stan show.

Maria took to Instagram and continued to fan the flames of speculation by sharing several photos of the pair looking close. 

The former pageant winner posted several snaps of a small group of friends on a couch enjoying the latest episode of the drag queen reality contest.

In one picture, Maria is clearly shown sitting in Moana’s lap as they watch the program while Maria also shared polaroid photos to her stories with herself and the football player smiling together.

Back in July, an influencer watchdog account revealed the pair went on a holiday together at Phillip Island, Victoria.

The duo both shared separate photos at the same time looking out over the verandah of their accommodation at similar views.

Posting to Instagram in early June, Maria shared the news they were no longer an item after ‘a beautiful year’ together. 

Meanwhile, Moana and her ex-wife Isabella Carlstrom, with whom she shares daughter Svea and son Ahi, separated in May. 

The mum-of-two explained they tried ‘everything to get their relationship back on track’ but she ‘didn’t feel the same as she used to’.
