An African gang has gone on a vicious crime spree as four men were robbed and assaulted in separate incidents across Melbourne’s south-east.
Police are investigating a series of robberies that took place in the vicinity of Noble Park Railway Stations in Dandenong, a suburb in Melbourne on Saturday night.
The first robbery took place about 7.50pm, when a man was walking along Foster Street and was robbed by six men.

He was assaulted, had his wallet stolen and was left with a large gash in the side of his head.
The second theft took place ten minutes later in the same area.
A man was approached by six men who stole his wallet and his mobile phone.
The third theft happened at James Street, Springvale at 8.10pm.
The man was assaulted by five to six men one of which was armed with a box cutter.
As a result of that encounter his wallet and mobile phone were also stolen.
The fourth and final robbery took place at Joy Street, Noble Park at 11.25pm.
The man was assaulted by two men who held him to the ground and made off with his wallet.
Investigators say all alleged offenders were of African appearance.
No one was seriously injured but investigators believe the thefts may be linked.
