Tracey Oliver said her son Andrew’s friend surrounded by six Sudanese youths who began to punch as kick him as Andrew begged them to stop.
‘One of the youths also pulled a box cutter out, luckily it wasn’t used,’ Tracey said on social media after the attack.
‘They made a mess of him, he just looked terrible. He was left with two swollen black and blood filled eyes, a serious cut to his face that required stitches, busted lip.
‘His whole face was swollen like a balloon. This boy does not have a mean bone in his body, yet was subjected to such violence.

The unexpected attack – which began when the gang told they boys ‘this is our park’ – has left the young teenagers in shock.
‘My son said he was so terrified he was dizzy and didn’t know what to do. The gang also got my son’s friend’s bag which contained his phone, wallet and ID.
‘They are still traumatised from the experience as they were threatened if they “snitched” they would have their throats slit.’
Straight afterwards the boys found a phone and reported the incident to police, and the injured 14-year-old was taken to hospital.
‘Frankston Police were fantastic with the way they have handled this and it’s obvious how frustrating this problem is for the Police too,’ Ms Oliver said.
Police confirmed they are investigating the armed robbery, but have yet to make any arrests.
