AJ Odudu flaunts incredibly toned abs after suffering from painful allergic reaction in Vietnam

AJ Odudu has shown off her impressive abs after suffering from a painful allergic reaction to her face mask in Vietnam on Saturday. 

The TV presenter, 33, took to her Instagram Stories to update her fans and revealed that she is in the country to shoot a new project with Channel 4.

However, before arriving, AJ revealed used a face mask that caused her to break out in an allergic reaction making her skin ‘itchy’ and ‘dry’.

Addressing her followers in bed, sporting silk orange pyjamas adorned with zebras, AJ announced: ‘Honeys, I’ve woken up in Vietnam. I mean, I’ve got a room with a view and everything but it’s overcast right now.

‘I am going to be staying in this quarantine hotel for the next seven days before doing a shoot for Channel 4 so I’m very excited’

She then added: ‘New year, new show, new allergic reaction.’ 

Explaining, she went on: ‘Yes, I had an allergic reaction to one of my face masks while travelling and my face is burning, it’s itchy and it’s dry. It’s just the worst sensation ever.’

Unfortunately, as she is in quarantine AJ was left unable to seek some relief for the reaction. 

She continued: ‘I can’t pop to a Boots. I don’t think they’ve got a Boots here but even if they did, can’t pop to Boots, so I think I need to order some ice and take my hay fever tablets.’

Putting on a brave face she said: ‘It’s fine, it’s fine, I’m just going to try and ignore it.’

But she confessed: “My face is just a mess. It feels awful”.

She told her fans: You don’t need to see this, you don’t deserve this, before bursting into laughter.

She concluded: ‘I hope you’re all well. Recommendations for allergies, hit me up!” before ending her stories.’

The star then took to her Stories again, to share a stunning mirror selfie, sporting black jeans and a bright orange crop top that perfectly displayed her sculpted abs.

Revealing she’d received some relief from calamine lotion, the snap showed her face coated in the thick white paste.

Issuing an update on her reaction, she wrote: ‘Oh my gosh finally!!!! Calamine lotion for the win. Instantly soothing.

‘Also taking antihistamines,’ she added.

It comes after AJ was forced to pull out of the Strictly Come Dancing live tour due to her ongoing foot injury – and has been replaced by Maisie Smith, it was confirmed this week.

AJ had to withdraw from the BBC show’s grand final in December after suffering ligament damage to her ankle during training with her professional partner Kai Widdrington. 

Maisie will now dance with Kai in the show, which kicks off on January 20.
